Ok, ok.

I’ve been REALLY slack on keeping the blog up to date so the next few posts will be in reverse chronological order, starting with this morning’s ride.

Sometimes I have those ‘special’ rides – you know the ones – the cannons feel in tip top condition, the company is good, the air temperature is ‘just so’, the chainline is silky quiet in observation of The Principle of Silence, you feel like a downhill skier cutting through the turns and the scenery is jaw-droppingly beautiful – this morning’s ride was one of those – a new adventure on an unexplored route in almost perfect riding conditions.

So today I had one of those ‘magic’ rides with the Camberwell boys on a little voyage of discovery, back out to Eltham via Heidleberg Park/Rosanna Golfcourse and then a loop around Mt Pleasant Rd – my first trip up out that stretch of road.  Man, I can’t believe how lucky we are to have such incredible riding right on the doorstep of the city – I now have a new favorite ride – any visitor coming through Melbourne with a bike can come out this way with me – it is just stunning – glorious little climbs, twisting little descents and a few gut-busting pitches here and there with no traffic to speak of – what more could you ask for.

Pictures, as they say, tell a thousand words, so I’ll let them do the talking.

Enjoy.
